We’re a team of experienced operators—former CEOs, CFOs, controllers, and senior accountants—who’ve led and scaled real companies, not just managed the books. Many on our team are licensed CPAs with deep technical expertise, and collectively we’ve supported clients in raising hundreds of millions in equity and debt financing.

Kim Welsh, CPA
Kim is a CPA with over 20 years of experience in accounting, finance, and investor relations, supporting both public companies and fast-growing private businesses. She began her career in Deloitte’s audit practice, helping a client navigate a successful IPO, and went on to hold leadership roles in controllership, technical accounting, and treasury at publicly traded companies.

She has led teams across accounting, AP, forecasting, and FP&A, and played a key role in a large-scale ERP implementation. Prior to starting CFO Direct, Kim served as Director of Investor Relations for a NYSE-listed company, overseeing investor communications and engagement.
Jerry Welsh
Jerry is a seasoned executive with C-suite experience as CEO, CFO, COO, and Board Member across multiple high-growth companies. He has raised over $500M in venture capital and contributed to two successful exits.

At ICEYE, he led two funding rounds as CFO/COO and scaled operations globally. He grew the team from 1 to 50 and increased revenue 20x in 2.5 years.
A CPA and UCLA Anderson MBA, Jerry began his career at Deloitte. In addition to co-founding CFO Direct, he now leads Exec One, an advisory firm that helps international companies—many in the space sector—expand and scale in the U.S. market.
